Yes, insurance is a rip-off (unless it is emergency coverage). I had ins., and so many things I thought were covered, weren't. Yet I paid several hundred per month, then I owed an additional $6,000 on top of that for things that were not covered. It was a rip-off. Now I pay as I go and ironically, it has turned out to be a bit cheaper, and no hasles.

Yes, Synthroid along just doesn't do the job for most people. Remember, T4 in the compounded is Synthroid or Levothyroxine and T3 is Liothyronine. Most compounding pharmacies add an ingredient to make it a time release. This doesn't work for many people, maybe because of absorptive problems. So for the immediate release. Consider having the pharmacist compound the T4 and T3 in cocoa butter lozenges to be dissolved under the tongue. This has helped immediately in some cases.
