A Pileated Woodpecker that has been feeding from our suet logs. One of a pair that has been coming back for a number of years to raise their young. They are devoted parents and take turns bringing the young one to feed when he can fly. We also see a pair of Downy's, and occasionally a Common Flicker.

  • Super closeup of this great bird.

  • @mylensview Thanks. The same pair come back every year and raise a single chick. I am still trying to find out where their nesting site is. Maybe next year!
