China to get Russian oil and gas

President Medvedev signed an agreement on the terms of Russian oil and gas supplies to China during his visit to the region earlier in the week. Under the agreement signed in Beijing, Russia guarantees export into China of 15 million tons of oil a year for 20 years. This is not much given that Russia pumps 250 million tons of oil per year to the West. A delegation of Tajik Trans Gas led by Director General Sharofiddinov called on Syed Naveed Qamar Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources who is on a visit to Tajikistan.Tajik trans Gas a state owned exploration and production Oil and Gas Company during the meeting with the minister in Dushanbe offered that Pakistani public and private sector exploration oil and gas companies could come to Tajikistan to explore vistas of immense opportunity in their country. A state report suggests that Oklahoma's oil and gas industry struggled in 2009. According to the Oklahoma Corporation Commission's annual report on oil and gas activity, production numbers were about the same as other years but intent-to-drill applications tumbled from 6,220 in 2008 to 2,500 last year.
