My Saturn PISSES ME OFF!!! I hate Saturns...
-
@chaseman94 My LS1 is like Russian roulette. Sometimes, it'll go an entire month without a problem. On one occasion I was stuck for twenty minutes, Passlock , decided it wanted to disable the car twice...

the security thing does that too on the 1996 Chevy Malibu

@jacketman22 Ya same issue with mine. Wasn't fixed until I swapped the BCM
-
this happens on my 2001 SC2 all the time

@Acogsniper666 All the mechanics, I spoke to regarding the problem didn't want to touch the car. Even the dealer couldn't guarantee a solution. Richpin06a is another YouTube channel. He does a lot of work on Saturn's. It might be worth contacting him.

@farmerinchico but if i just wait it will, but since it's cold where i live, that could be a problem too, maybe i should bypass it, or should i put it in the shop

@Acogsniper666 Strange. A new variant...

@farmerinchico the light wont flash at all when i just put it on the run postion, but it will when i wait, but my light wont go on or stay on

@Acogsniper666 It will turn over. it just won't start with the light flashing.
For those looking for an answer to these problems, it is likely caused by a fried Body Control Module. The BCMs on early L-series had a 100% failure rate due to a faulty chip design by Motorola. With me, the odometer was the first thing to go (as soon as the car was turned off it lost any new mileage and kept going back to 160,000) and then the security problem cropped up. I found using a BCM from a 2003 model solved all the issues.

@jacketman22 Makes sense. The odometer has worked normally (so far) on my LS1.
