I love this song because it both stimulates and soothes the soul. Truly inspired and beautiful.

@AlanSturgess how do you measure Genius? Mozart was a Genius! Williams is a seasoned pro . I doubt genius is the correct description.,
-
aarossell . . . wtf! Your comment borders on insane irony! Rodrigo COMPOSED THIS masterpiece to express his tortured soul at the stillborn birth of his first son. Tell me you didn't know!?!? or do you speak as a prophet??

I like how the baby gets the last note in

@filbertflange I totally agree. I've heard maybe 3 or 4 of shredders who also make a truly musical sound, but there's such a lack of feeling involved on the part of almost all the others ... 'Look at me. Aren't I clever? I can play ever fret in 2 nanoseconds ..'
Many guitarists can play fast AND project genuine emotion and musicality, but sheer speed is not any kind of standard by which they should be judged apart from speed itself. Fast or slow, players like JW set the benchmark of genius.

@AlanSturgess Because John Williams is about the MUSIC, all those so - called "shredders" are about the flash and hey look how fast I can play. They don't give a damn about the music. Give one of them a nylon string acoustic and they won't know where to begin.
