@retownsend Just because almost all elephants in the world are abused, doesnt make it RIGHT
YOU have to realise just as peta, that there is NO way of training elephants without abusing them. Elephants are just to powerfull to be trained with 'rewards and treats' . But that doesnt make it allright... Not at all. The use of elephants should stop.
Although this isnt possible (Some asian farmers cant live without help from their elephants), it is possible to stop using them in entertainment

Don't be silly.... the abuse happens behind the scene, punishing animals in front of the people isn't good for bussines and they bloody know it.
Do you see those animals acting in this "cute" manner when they are in their original habitat ?
And running? where they can go in the middle of Texas when they are adapted for living in the jungle...
Think before writing mate.

You idiotic PETA people have no idea what elephant abuse is. I've traveled all around Asia... there are no free-roaming elephants... all of them are in tourism/industry and they are hit ALL THE TIME b/c nobody over there cares. Trust me, these elephants are LUCKY they're in ringling bros
