I think it's Clarence 13X, founder of the Five Percent Nation of Gods & Earths. But, I had to look twice myself!:) S. Jackson could definitely pass for him, if ever the film role was made.

He comes off as annoying because he now's nothing of the time. He knows nothing of the black struggle of the time. If Sammy Davis Jr. got treated like shit, and he was part of the Rat Pack, imagine a black man going solo. That would be without the help of Sinatra, Lewis, etc.. Growing up as a black man in that era was difficult., of course he had to do in order to get in the door. Like any other comedian, it took a bit to get his act down. Who cares of Brands take on an era he couldn't imagine!
