For the simple reason that a beginner would have a hard time constructing the wing, brackets and properly calculate the angle of attack on the leading edge. Looks real simple to build but remember, it was built and designed by an engineer. I believe he had to experiment before it flew well. A beginner might have more frustration with this design. There's easier stuff to fly but go for it if u think u want to.

The young man flying this plane is very talented and makes things look very easy and graceful. I would not recommend this type of plane for a beginner as there are quite a few 40 sized trainer planes better suited.
