@negroidster Linux does have a much lower hit count. Even lower than the MAC OS. But don't think you're clear simply because you switch over to Linux. The bad guy is always watching.

I see no point in using an AV on Linux, especially on a home unit as opposed to a server. Maybe if you have a dual boot setup and you transfer files from ubuntu to windows a lot. But having a false sense of security in windows and having to update anti this and anti that was a good reason that got me to leave windows altogether for Ubuntu. That and everything in ubuntu is free which frees me from Micro$ofts bullshit.

Listen and tried to install ubuntu 9.04 bitdefender but noo I do not know if you would do us the favor of doing a tutorial on how to install it and you really need it because my laptop works wonderfully but do not want the virus to other pc water please me You Can Help

I managed to install my BitDefender, but the system scan does not work because of my screen resolution on my netbook. Is there a way to bypass that?
The only works is drag and drop.
I have Ubuntu 9.10. What is that thing you have on the right side of your desktop? It is really cool.
Also, what kind of dock you have?

Ok, first, the "thing" on the right side is Conky and the dock is Gnome-Do with the appearance called Docky

Para la "barra" de abajo utilizo Gnome-Do con la apariencia Docky y para la "barra" de la derecha utilizo Conky
