Responding to the worldwide shortage of solar salt, Straits Resources promote a project to establish a new solar saltfield in Western Australia. Until now the environmental approval has been denied. Salt Partners wanted to know why. Vladimir M. Sedivy, President of Salt Partners, visited James Barrie, Straits Project Manager, and asked about Yannarie Solar. The interview was recorded on 30.1.2009 by Isabella Sedivy, advised by Roland Mottershead. For full transcription refer to www.salt-partners.com/news.
The Video clearly brings out the conflict of interests. I think the approach is meet the requirements of the need of the salt and also the minimum disturbance to ecology. I am sure if the heads are put together, it is possible.

Strange things happen.
Solar salt works is the only example in human history of energy effective and environmentally friendly production activity, which does not destroy but even creates habitat for unique wildlife. What arguments against could be?

Well done and very informative!
Hard to comprehend that the local politicans and environmentalists are trying to block the project by endless environmental reviews! I thought Aussies were better than that!
