@ianfmusgrave Thanks Ian, but it was Messierhunter that recognized the Comet as he had taken a similar image close to the same time as you. He was able to track the image to you. 'Donny's' image was pointed out to me by Francis when he e-mailed me the images he had just taken of 89 Leo. It seems there were just too many people looking around 89 Leo for this to slip by.

@TBar1984 Thanks to Messier Hunter as well, and all those involved in tracking this down. Ironically, I saw the image yesterday, and briefly pointed out it had to be fake (a crescent object OUTSIDE Earth's orbit), without realising it was my own photo (there is a fundamental reason i study Alzheimer's disease, but I don't remember what it is)

I think it is partly self-delusion, partly pathological liar and partly sociopath. He just has to feel he is cleverer than anyone else, so he bulds up a delusion, then calls people who don't believe him sheep or shills or fools, that way he can feel superiour, when he is probably riddled with insecurity.

Many thanks to all of you chaps! I'm getting very annoyed by the daily astro-hoax and Pseudo-Tube astrono-nots. What bothers me most is it takes more work to get the truth out than to phony-up some astrophotos or make wild claims about a camera artifact. God bless ya, Tbar.

@carlitobandito10 Donny didn't need to run with it. Any mature adult would've either sat on it until he researched it further or maybe disclosed the photo as "this was submitted to me, I'm not sure if this is or isn't the HMO..." type thing AND welcomed any debunker, who all have been more than gracious towards Donny (maybe not the comments, but TBar & Francis have been very gracious). Def MORE gracious than Donny, who used name calling, was SURE of what he had & then whined when called out.

@carlitobandito10 He can use that "anonymous source" excuse all he wants, but unless he can show the email and youtube account where it came from, he's the source. It's got his name and website all over the image he originally released, he takes responsibility for its validity. At best, he's proven to be completely unreliable as a source because he's clearly incapable of distinguishing reality from fantasy, and at worst he's a complete hoaxer and liar. He's not to be trusted.
