  • Actually, it's "Pepto-BISMOL", 'Matt'. You make it sound like it's "Pepto-Dismal", which wasn't the actual intention of the product. One FEELS dismal before using it, not after! ;)

And since there's audience applause before the start of the commerical, this is probably from an episode of "THE ADVENTURES OF OZZIE & HARRIET", which had Norwich Pharmacal [the makers of P-B] as an "alternate sponsor" during the 1955-'56 season, before Eastman Kodak became the sole sponsor the following season...

  • @fromthesidelines Yeah, it's from a rebroadcast of the episode "Pajama game". That's why I'm not sure of the exact date.

  • The "Pajama Game" episode, originally telecast on April 1, 1955, was rebroadcast on June 29, 1956- the last telecast of that season (it's noted at the end of the episode), and its final appearance as a Friday night series. When the show moved to Wednesday nights the following season, Eastman Kodak became the sponsor.

  • How did you post that? i pasted it into a comment, without anything else, and had 0 chars remaining. Hacker? no... probably not...
