One game that I often play with my pet pooch, Oscar, is 'Hide n Seek'! I hide a piece of yummy goodie, and he seeks! Hope you enjoyed this video. Music by Jonathan Coulton "I Feel Fantastic". Video clips taken with my Sony Ericson K600i (1.3 megapixels only), so my apologies that the vidz were a little low in resolution.

  • is it true that this kind of dog is always barking?

  • Yeah, he's quite a barker.. Especially the random barks that catches you by surprise (aka irritating!!).

  • This dog has some attitude. We have one at home during its puppy days, its so cute, hyper and naive but now grown up (around 3-4 yrs now) it has temperament issues, one day when my granny saw the rag lying near him possibly his chew toy, she took it, it angered the dog.One day our dog was lying down between the corridor of our house when I step over above him ,it got angry again even though i want to play with him, I now keep my distance to test his umpredictable mood.

  • I'm no Pet Psychiatrist, but I would suggest finding out what's bothering him. Perhaps its loneliness, lack of fun activities, or he needs a mate? Oscar's favourite time of the day is to go outdoors where he gets to remark his territory with pee and meet the neighborhood dogs, haha!! To keep your dog from snapping at you, you'll need to build up a relationship of trust and consistency. Just my two cents worth =)

  • What is the name on that song??

  • lol jap spitzes being quiet? they love barking. they are good watch dogs. mine is a excellent watch dog. hes so cute :) except mine loves to bite...it is not ggod :C he knows hes the boss. lovely video!

  • @megawinks Weird that you say that. I've heard that it's part of the breed that they should be rather quiet...

  • @00Eftee00 - yes, all kinds of spitzes are long lived, perhaps 15-20 yrs :-P

  • @megawinks - not mine, he has another dog to play and bark with him, but we still play with him.

  • @darkskyBAO - good thing my japanese spitz has no negative attitude. yes its noisy when theres a visitor or a cat passing by outside the gate. he is kind an loyal to his 7 masters-weird...

  • @ darskyBOA : I suggest you get any other breed that is not a spitz breed, they are to dominant for you. Smarter too by the sound of it.

These are a very intelligent breed and get bored easily - best get two so they have someone around as smart as themselves.

  • love the dog lol
