Sony HDR-CX105E camcorder test - 720p

First video shots taken with the Sony HDR-CX105E high definition camcorder. All shot in about thirty minutes and within 50 metres of my home. Great camcorder and very easy to use. All captured using a tripod and in full HD (1920*1080i) and then rendered as 720p (1280*720) before uploading to youtube.

Great video dude, hope you don;t mind me asking, but what is the sound quality like on this camera?

Sound quality is good and the stereo spread is very effective. The microphones are sensitive and It does suffer from noise when the wind is up, but then so do most others. For the money this is a very good camera and good fun to use.

How do you set it to 720p mode? I can only see 1080

As it says in the note, it was recorded in 1080i and then rendered using Sony Vegas Movie Studio, to 720p. I don't believe there is a 720p mode.

Thanks, the camera is excellent and a joy to use. Yes, I use Sony Vegas 9, as it does not re-compress the footage, except where needed such as titles, mixes and effects. Thanks for the comment and happy new year.

Good video 5 stars!Btw i am using Vegas 9 and i am a bit noob can you tell me what kind of effects i need to use to make the image like a movie stiyle i know it is har without recording in progresive mode but can you tellme some settings to emulate this move effect.

Ah and las thing i am gonna but the HDR-CX115 this week the 105 is out of stock,anyway the 115 have x25 optical zoom and better CMOS sensor.. 24Mbps ...
