Asian carp is an invasive fish species that has rapidly taken over ecosystems in parts of the Mississippi River and Missouri River regions. These fish (Asian carp consist of silver carp (or "flying fish") and bighead carp) have been voraciously consuming plankton, leaving less food for native fish; which has a negative impact on these environments. In addition, Asian carp have been causing harm to people by jumping into boats. What can humans do about this problem? We can catch them according to individual states' laws, thereby helping to deplete their staggering populations. But, its not only about solving problems; Asian carp are also an excellent fish to eat- offering large, low-fat, nutritious filets. This video teaches you how to make Flying Carp Wings. The segment is the second in a series of three that teach you how to turn flying fish into a great dish!

your comments are harsh but true. However, being this fish is an invasive species to America it makes no difference whether the fish is caught and disposed of or caught and processed wastefully. This fish shouldn't be in our ecosystem and we have to do what we can to either eliminate it or try and control it's numbers in order to preserve our ecosystem and save our native species.

  • save the Asian crap to feed the world!!!!!!!

  • @catfishredneck88 dude, have you ever heard of commas.......i had to read this 5 times before i realized what you were saying

  • Fish the hell out of it. ! Start using jumping fish at fast food places instead of ocean fish.

  • if a can of tuna a batter dipped catfish fillet a crappie fillet and fried silver (asian) carp fillet was placed in front of me now in a picnick table. i would slide the rest off into the dirt and eat the asian and ask for seconds. those of you that know it all without even ever trying it and the disbelievers can all sit back and think and know but the smart ones are enjoying it right now.

  • ok your telling people these are more fishy than reg fish? have you eaten them? NO! obviously not. and thats the problem now why people arent trying it. i caught them for the first time wed at bath illinois via a net as they jumped out of water. fun as hell. and fried them up wed evening. i will tell you all if anyone would just take one bite they would not stop. white flakey meat far better than any other freshwater fish i ever ate and ive ate about all of em.

  • What's wrong with eating the red meat? Why would you discard good meat?

  • When do we remove the fine bones?

  • Carp is eaten by Asians and Europeans around the world. It's time to realize the bonanza and start eating them as part of the solution. Who knows? Maybe this will alleviate pressure on other depleted fish stocks.

  • @pigeonxiong asian crap.. lols

  • Nice video! Looks delicious

  • @millec60 You can filet fish ordinary way, guts into trash(or for poeltry) liver and egs and head and scalleton with remaining meat boil into soup, than saparate meat from head and bones, bones throw, meat add into soup , add vegetable potatoes carrott, anion and boil again together aprox 20minutes and you have great tasty meal.... from parts wich cooker throwed away. Or you can export asian carps in fillets form back to chinese and make big money :) And mixed heads and bones feed to chickens.
