Twin Shadow's Forget is the stuff great debuts are made of: songs that get to the point; hooks that stay with you all day long; and the kind of production that begins to forge a distinct sound.
From disco to new wave to post-punk, this album seems to dabble in nearly every fusion of dance and rock music. It's a style of music I'm a bit of a sucker for, but I think the songwriting is too good to deny.
The album's major flaw is a slightly muddy recording quality. There are also some slight musical flubs here and there. Nothing that didn't stop me from enjoying it, though.

I just have to put out there that I am dying over "When We're Dancing". I never wanted to dance so hard in the 80s in my life!! Its frightenly frustrating.

I've been enjoying this album for at least 10 months. I saw Twin Shadow at NXNE in Toronto earlier this year and solidified my feelings about this album and artist - brilliant! My favourite track on the album is definitely "Forget." This song evokes such a range of feelings each time I hear it; it feels dark, and sad, while simultaneously bright and ethereal. I am anxiously awaiting Twin Shadow's next album!

Forget is my favorite track on this album. Its amazing, I 100% agree with the 'hooks' and its always going somewhere you want it to go.
