LOVE that you referenced "Like a Hurricane"- love Roxy, and even like Young's cover-but you and I are sonically comrades! See above. Peace xo

I might have it- if I can pull it I will post it, for sure. Give me a week or so!

3 songs on my list of "those anthems": songs that really ARE just that:
Black Metallic, Stairway and Three Days (Janes).
There are others as good, as important, etc., but this is one of those songs (and albums) that truly TAKES you somewhere, and for that--- thank you, CW

I saw these guys play a free show in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco back in 92 or so, when this album first came out in the US... hearing this song at that moment, their performance brought tears to my eyes, it was so beautiful. I'll never forget it.

ahh, can someone help me? here I am, thinking I am an alternative music fan, and only recently have I heard this great song, does anyone know why I never heard this in the early nineties? a super great song!

I always heard it described as the "Like a Hurricane" of Shoegaze, which I agree with a lot more than "Stairway to Heaven" (which hasa lot of shifts in tempo and melody". This reaches the same points on the central nervous system as Like a Hurricane, with similar timbre and texture to the guitars, and a simular circular propulsion.

and if they ever form a country and go to war, their battle march will be Ursa Major Space Station

One Boston-area DJ (Julie Kramer of WFNX) famously referred to this song as "The Stairway to Heaven of the 90s").
No, she wasn't a 'Zep fan (AFAIK); she was referring to the the song's epic, atmospheric nature.
If Shoegazer's ever secede and form their own country; this will be their national anthem...

wow this seemed like it lasted for 20 mins... awesome
if anyone has the 120 minutes performance, pleeeeeaaaaaaaasee put it back up, even if it will get taken down again, it was fucking epic!
