@DL9619 You usually want a real heavy test poundage for bowfishing. When you miss, and your shooting with a 70 pound recurve, your arrow is about 7 inches deep in the ground and its not the funnest thing to remove. Its also easier to see and a lot of bowfishing is done at night, so the neon lighted line helps when you've fired your bow.

You CAN fight the fish. You just have to keep a stong pull on the trigger! yank and keep reelin in!

i say yes ...but im no expert ...your usually gonna be shooting of a couple of feet...the shooting becomes second nature....
