1984 Electrolux 560 Electronic upright, for those who haven't used an Electrolux 500 series upright, you really are missing out, clean air filteration and variable power on a 25+ year old vac is pretty good

nice! i have a electrolux 500 i just got it, and so far i have failed to work out what the little dile does on the top of it.

The little dial on top is the whistle stop indicator, basically when the bag gets full it make a whistling noise and the dial changes the sensitivity of it. On the electronic models, the dial changed the power of the motor

The yellow one was the 504 from the mid 70's, they crop up on ebay fairly often. I had one not so long ago that id pimped up with a 1300watt Electrolux Lite motor. Big difference from the original 450w it originally had!

My nanna had an Electrolux 502, it was a wierd green colour, could you tell me when these were made? I think she got it in 79' when she left work. I remember the 500 series being VERY popular, you could really hear the carpet gettin a good beating. I had the cream coloured one, cant remember the model, then the white one, which ended up falling down the stairs and the handle snapped. Great vacs though!

yeh the 502 was made from 1975 - 1980 I think, then it was replaced by the 502s which was the cream one
