In this Virginia Tech program, prominent figures from across the nation such as Dave Etnier, professor of zoology at the University of Tennesse, and Phil Pister of the Desert Fishes Council weigh in on the importance of small, nongame fish. Only about five percent of America's fish are game species such as trout and bass. The rest, mostly small, are vital to the ecology of our lakes, rivers, and streams. This documentary explores their role in nature, and the threats to their existence.
