If you listen carefully Rajapkse addresses someone in the audience as a " Demala " This is symptomatic of most Sinhala chauvanist and racist. I am taking the position that the Man in the audience must be illiterate or perhaps marginally educated and is Tamil, to have addressed Rajapakse as a "Sinhala". The complex position a chauvanist and racist regime is placed in, when trying to unify a country is displayed here. The President should not have made a racial slur. It's unbecoming.
