Hedonism (derivative from the ancient Greek word hēdoné meaning "delight, pleasure, lust"). It describes a philosophy which argues that pleasure is the only intrinsic good. Simply put, a hedonist strives to maximize his/her absolute pleasure. It is the idea that all people have the right to do everything in their power to achieve the greatest amount of pleasure possible to them.
