Pacemaker is a handheld digital DJ mixing module. Roughly the size of an ipod and said to be priced about the same. Spokesman claim it is NOT intended to compete with CDJ's or the like but hope it will appeal to travelling DJ's. "Its compact body allows DJ's to work on sets while travelling."

  • What are the clubbers going to see ? Some bloke standing in the same place for 4 hours or whatever holding a little black box in one hand ? I don't think so.There is a visual aspect to djing that gadget inventors seem to forget.Clubbers do not want to see someone standing there just holding a gadget. Some of us like to dance around behind a dj box, throwing records on decks, or sliding cd's into players.

  • News flash! If people are staring at the DJ, well the DJ isn't really doing his job is he?

  • @ChrisReardonUK Hey man, being a performer myself I can say that with a setup like that maybe it's time to develop a FULL show with a performance aspect. not just playing music, but giving the audience a real and creative shoe experience. I think a rig like this frees the DJ to do SO much more with their show! just something to think about.

  • i dont even notice people any more.i just see the machines.

  • Once upon a time, the DJ used to play music from musicians, then they replaced the musicians doing their own mixes and using stolen music and loops.

Now Its time to replace the DJ, with real people.

    This is a revolution!!!

  • What is the track for the intro of the Vid? I love it. Someone? Anyone know it????

  • Cool idea. I wouldn't play a set with it of course, but for sitting on a bus or in a park, trying stuff for a set i would play that night, it would be cool. Too expensive though, not worth it.

  • The company themselves say it wont replace a typical dj rig, but trying out new tunes for an upcoming set, and practicing your set without the need to lug your gear to dinner or the park! I think its a great idea but the price is too high for my liking.

  • You can even (as I do) get away with playing whole sets on a laptop, being again able to dance to your tunes, but this little gadget , well, no thanks.

  • I WOUID REAL LIKE & DJ Pacemaker
