The end-boss sequence is the only time you really /need/ magic in this game, and considering we just got a brand new, shiny spell, one would think it would be the magic to bring.

I would disagree.

ANYWAY! This is the boss gauntlet: we need to kill off the six Second Act bosses one last time, but this time around, they move faster and their attacks are faster.

  • Is there a way to download the music from this game? I've tried Limewire, but to no avail. I would love to have the music you hear when you float in your castle on the cloud.

  • Do a Google search for "actraiser.rsn" (sans quotes, of course).

The .rsn file is a dump of the music and sounds used in the game (and to my knowledge, is legit to download). You'll need WinAmp and a special plugin to play the .rsn file, though... I forget which plugin, but searchin on WinAmp's site should get you all the info on which plugin it is.

  • Magic stardust was the only way I could get thru it.

  • Yeah, it's pretty difficult, but it is possible to do it without magic.

A person really needs to be good with the patterns, especially since the bosses move faster in the boss rush, but it is possible.

Granted, I don't think I've ever actually done it yet...

  • The Arctic Wyvern is one of the best looking bosses in videogame history.

  • Much obliged.

  • You know, Magical Aura is a very good spell. Especially with these faster bosses. It may not hit many times, but if you watch just how much health you take out with the Minotaur, you can see it's use. It hits for a large chunk on both sides, and twice if the boss comes down on you. How many bosses come down on you?

    Yeah, a lot of them.

It's a very strategical spell, but I got through Death Heim without dying and using Magical Aura.
