A little ukulele comparison for my virtual friends BeareTube and Wininboy - and everyone else with a particular liking for vintage Martin ukuleles!

The ukes in this video (all mahogany soprano's):
- 1950s style 0 (strings: Hilo)
- 1960s style 1 (strings: Aquila)
- 1920s style 2 (strings: Worth CM)
- 1940s style 3 (strings: Worth CM)

The song is Roy Smeck's Magic Ukulele Waltz.

  • oh my god i love this song!

  • where we can find the tabs? In my opinion on the Martin in mahogany the best strings are Worth Clear...I'm curious to try the worth clear FAT...

  • Bravo! You play very well :)

  • I can't see your face, but I kinda want to marry you :)

  • Roy Smeck would have been proud of that playing- lovely, if I could play like that Id never get anything else done. Thank you what a joy, wish I was your neighbour and you practised with the windows open.

  • I like the sound of the the 1920s style 2 best ; it seems "warmer" than the others. Could this be attributed to it being a 20s instrumen, the Worth Cm strings - or possibly a combination of the two?

  • It's the best version of this song I've ever heard. Love it!

  • @ukulelezaza thank you so much . Can u tell me where can I buy Martin vintage in Paris?thank you
