This is what was left of Hurricane Ike in Cincinnati, Ohio. The sustained winds were 54 mph with gusts of 80 mph and this lasted for 6 hours. We lost power for a couple of days and nights, but luckily had no damage to the house. Our fence was trashed though thanks to the trees. Most around us have major roof, garage, and siding damage and there were 900000 people without power. Of course we are much better off than Texas, but this is Ohio remember...

  • Omg. That day was horrible.

I live in cincinnati and I lost power for a week.

  • this was a really eerie day. i live on the ohio about 8 miles from indiana.

  • my power was out for a week

  • I think the thing that some people might not understand is that we weren't expecting a hurricane...had no reason to ever expect a hurricane. Ohio. Sheesh. We were without power for 5 days - and I now have a whole new appreciation for what people go through in times of emergency. Clark County, where I live, was declared a disaster area. Thanks for posting this!
