Here it is with the lights on so you can see the setup.

To see the video of the picture quality, go to

My living room setup - a SIM2 HT300 XTRA 1080 DLP Projector running a 110 inch screen at 1080i HD. Viewing distance is THX spot on vertically and distance-wise.

The SIM2 HT300 XTRA runs at 720p via cable (don't have the view in my apt for satellite), and 1080i via my HTPC.

Screen is "blackout fabric" from the fabric store, 110" diagonal (9.2 ft)....border is cheap crown moulding from home depot that i spray painted black. Color is amazingly correct, and the screen cost a total of @ 25$ to make.

Currently running a cheap Panasonic SA-HT743 surround system. It's not really worth the money to get a nice audio setup, as I'm an apartment dweller. I piss off the neighbors plenty with what I have

Video is from my iPhone, sorry for the grainy quality.

  • Replacement bulb suggestion?

  • @AsMcL3AD3R I'd love one, as my bulb just went out. I'm debating spending $600 on a new bulb, or just getting a new projector.

  • do i see a mac keyboard on a pc priceless xD just shows you pc can do everything

  • @MrSkillzo Haha, yeah I figured it would look better sitting out than a giant ugly pc keyboard.

  • @AceGermanFury U can't really tell because it varies depending on the camera is filmed with.

  • weak image isnt good

  • Nice set up. I need similarly long hdmi cable for my projector.

what brand of hdmi cables did you use for your projector?

  • "It's not really worth the money to get a nice audio setup"

WHAT?!?!! dude.....its not about how loud your shit is, its about how well it sounds

  • wow picture on this video and the other one you have is fantastic I know is a 720p but you are right at that siting distance pixel structure is almost a none factor. Anyway congrats on your system. Would you put up some more vids of your projector I´m thinking of buying this one for an outdoor movie night setup for the kids. thanks.
