Synopsis:
Warren Farrell, the only man to have been elected three times to the National Organization for Womens New York board of directors, is the author of such books as The Myth of Male Power and Why Men Are the Way They Are. In his new book, he argues that women earn less than men on average not because they are discriminated against, but because they have made lifestyle choices that affect their ability to earn. Why Men Earn More argues that although discrimination sometimes plays a part, both men and women unconsciously make trade-offs that affect how much they earn. Farrell clearly defines the 25 different workplace choices that affect incomes--including putting in more hours at work, taking riskier jobs or more hazardous assignments, being willing to change location, and training for technical jobs that involve less people contact--and provides readers with specific, research-supported ways for women to earn higher pay.

A lot of what passes for female "empathy" is actually a subtle form of self-absorption and narcissism. A large percent of women (not all, kudos to the exceptions) actually use their own children to fulfill their own emotional needs (or even worse unload their negative emotions onto the children!), and IMO this messes up very often both their sons and their daughters. Men would never dream of doing such a thing as they are trained to be selfless and to fulfill their emotional needs themselves.

As I finally understood Dr. Farrel's answer, I realized his pure genius.

@MysticWhizz And when you got one female army in the news, she is called the hero!

@pinegrove33 Like Warren said, think in terms of caring for children instead of physically having one...men can do wonderful jobs on caring for children. Only feminists paint us men in a bad light!

@mindprism who funded the particular "peer-reviewed scientific literature" you saw?

@TENNSUMITSUMA I agreed. Women do it to themselves, they think they could get away with all these "you called me pretty, I am too sensitive, I am going to sue you for sexual harassment and get your job too" lawsuits. And now companies find ways to avoid hiring women. There should be records on these women filing lawsuits so it could be used during the hiring process. After all, women do force the government to post those dead beat dads and supposed rapists for all to see. It is just fair.

Men make more money because they are willing to make more SACRIFICES in order to make additional money. When a woman makes as many sacrifices or takes as many risks as a man, they have a tendency to make MORE money. If you want to earn as much as a man than you have to approach your WORK like a man. When you think of someone staying late at work, who is it in your mind: a man or a woman? I work with a lot of women who are just as intelligent as I am however they take fewer risks.

@mindprism Sorry I only now saw your comment and I have no recollection whatsoever :D And to be frank I no longer have the interest for it either, so just consider my statement expired :D

are women more empathetic than men?
hell no they arent!!
women have mastered the rhetoric of empathy but men's actions prove we're more empathetic generally speaking.

@Spathever {Warren claims that never married childless women make more money than their male counterparts when peer-reviewed scientific literature actually says otherwise.}
Citation please.
