Gloria Cycles formed in 2006 after meeting in Brighton. Brought together from Scotland, Abu Dabai, Sussex & Newcaslte, the four 4 members new they had the recipe for an interesting mix.
Gloria Cycles have something in common with The Go Betweens, in that they are within touching distance of perfect pop. OF COURSE there is The Sound Of Young Scotland in there, with Postcards holy trinity of Orange Juice, Aztec Camera and Josef K jostling for position. Confident, charismatic and somehow subdued but incredibly intense on stage, the band have also been compared to The Lovin Spoonful, The Magic Numbers and in some extremes The Velvet Underground.
