When Newman was in his prime man was he a joy to watch. Definitely one of the most overlooked players from 03-07. During those five years as a whole he was as good and consistent as any CB in the league. Now injuries and age have caught up with, I am hoping he can grind a couple more years in a defense that doesn't put it's CB's on an island so often. His first goal should be to not get hurt in camp like he has done 3 out of 4 yrs.

Ok let me explain to you morons who dont know shit about running or angles or ANY of that...First of all, notice WHERE Moss catches the ball, very near midfield, newman as soon as he pops up, watch closely, is closer to the sidelines..when moss gets tackled, hes at the sidelines, which means he was running at an angle until he got caught while newman basically running in a straight line..plus moss was looking behind him which slows him down AND newman was going full speed before the catch..

Randy Moss aint fast anymore ot all about T-Newman

@843niddy Moss ran a 4.25 40 yard dash at the age of 18 & a healthy Moss in his prime between 98-04 could probably run even faster than that probably nearly a 4.2 flat

moss was banged up that year..

i wonder where this speed was against the giants smh

@OneMillionSuns lol you're right and romo is good, i'de put him right under the four elites, brees brady manning rodgers and maybe higher if his ability to get it done in crunch time was better. He has those great moments where you think to yourself, wow if he played like this all the time he could be amazing. Then other times he gets picked off terribly and makes you wonder where his head is. Aside from that Newman made a good play after a corner botched his coverage.

@Nithian22 Which is usually Romo's fault according to the no-knowing football "fans".

lol all i see is the cowboys giving up a big play.
Too bad all Terence Newman has is speed. His coverage skills are absolutely terrible.

Nice to see this play again. I watched closely this time to see what kind of start Newman had and you can see how fast he gets to top speed, and when Moss looks back, I think he saw he was going to get caught. I actually thought Newman was one of the better corners in the league for awhile. Nice to hear he in fact was a college sprinter. As far as getting caught from behind, Newman had a jump and the angle and Moss looked like he computed that immediately and braced for tackle great play.
