@TheForza1000 Eric Broadley's Lola GT wasn't a successful race car when Ford bought the design - but the Lola had been designed around the Ford small-block V8 engine, which made it a natural starting point for the GT-40 program. Little remained of the Lola design except the general body shape by the time the GT-40 competed. It was the first car to have its chassis and suspension designed by computer (back at Ford's Dearborn HQ), under the guidance of Klaus Arning. Credit where due, eh?
