Content is starting to progress rather fast now as I'm almost done with the core of the game engine. Enemies now fall down into a death state, life bar is now present, and I actually did some level artwork (still incomplete). I also changed the music for this level as I found a track I liked better. If you see black flashes on the characters that's because their punch animation is missing so there is nothing to play for it. Definitely getting close to an alpha release build soon.

  • This was from quite a while back. Are you still working on your game?

It's currently on the side right now as I'm finishing up a JavaFx game for Facebook. But once I'm done with that I'll be going back to work on it.

  • I love that death noise XD

  • Interesting that you opted for collision on the PC and NPCs. In my game engine, I initially had collision physics between game characters, but it made it tough to walk around since you'd always bump into the enemies and they would block each other. Then I looked at a lot of old beat 'em up games and they all seemed to not have any collision between characters.
