Song: The Kaleidoscopic God
Artist: Scar Symmetry
Album: Pitch Black Progress

Lyrics:
The lifeless worlds come alive
Gathered here both low and high
Show me sights I dreamt at night
I shall return with the dreaming tide

As above, so below
Microcosm is macrocosm
Anything I visualize
Takes place for real

The formless takes the shape I want
I am the decoder of wavelengths
Unobserved it is but nothing
But the potential for everything

As above, so below
Microcosm is macrocosm
Anything I visualize
Takes place for real

Stray into the silence
Stray into my soul
Stray beyond the shallow entombment
Fate - forms a complex kaleidoscope

Planets interact within my head
Universes moved with the will
Anything I imagine occurs
Manifestation is a fact

Stray into the silence
Stray into my soul
Stray beyond the shallow entombment
Fate - forms a complex kaleidoscope

The outside appears to move
But never really does
The mind is in movement
Unknowing, unaware
Earth appears in my head

Does the rules of manifestation apply
At such dense place
In such soulless waste

Travel forth light-years away
Beyond the form of night and day
Kaleidoscopic shapes at play
Colours sparkle in every way

As above, so below
Microcosm is macrocosm
Anything I visualize
Takes place for real

Stray into the silence
Stray into my soul
Stray beyond the shallow entombment
Fate - forms a complex kaleidoscope

The outside appears to move
But never really does
Earth appears in my head
Does the rules of manifestation apply

  • there aint smeg all wrong with this band, proper. awsome band.

  • @Kuolleille nope.

  • @Lunarcheese72 Predators Portrait? When you could've chosen Steelbath Suicide or Natural Born Chaos, both of which are better albums? -sigh-

And no, no trolling. I used to like this music; really, I did. Then I grew out of it, when I realized I wanted more than just the aesthetic and the catchy riffs/melodies. The only melodic death I can still stand is At the Gates' classic The Red in the Sky is Ours, and some of Insomnium's work... and a few others here and there.

  • @Kuolleille now i know you're trolling. Predator's Portrait is a classic. Get out, you dont belong here.

  • @GeglashTheBabyStompa Haha.

This is hilarious because Scar Symmetry owes pretty much its entire existence/formula to Soilwork's "Natural Born Chaos".

Not that either band is really that great, though. [Not to say the musicians arent accomplished though; they certainly are.]

  • @vaultofknowledge im serious

  • @killerkombat428 lol troll

  • @GeglashTheBabyStompa I bought the panic broadcast the other day lol, it's a good album, my favourite soilwork album is Figure Number Five though

  • @Whamesl0l cant say what my fav bands are. Opeth maybe, if i had to say. But I go thru a new band every day. Scar symmetry although, along with opeth, are timeless. Soilwork is pretty good for that too, The panic broadcast is a great timeless album.

  • @GeglashTheBabyStompa Soilwork is my favourite band, and scar symmetry is second :)
