Cette chanson magnifique m'a poussé a apprendre le français... Je peux la reécouter mille fois et chaque fois elle me rappelle mon enfance où j'étais subjuguée par cette belle voix de Mireille Mathieu...

@IX19UT8O Hallo again!
Thank you for sharing your insights. Your channel is not available to visitors from divers parts of the world. Please check your "Settings" option in "My Channel" menu and choose - "make my channel visible' option. You don't have to have anything posted to be visible or available. If this exercise won't help, then we will know other things may be responsible for this anomaly. Ahoooy! Smooth sailing!

@Aktrisa1: Ainsi, ont été ma mère et père.

@StarOdessey: As for Mirielle, her version touches me more than that of I Santo California. Its a poignant song about losing the love of your life and how you cope with it. Learn to forget and eventually move on, or yearn nostalgically for it, very emotional and difficult. The best cure is finding another love but I think even then you may never ever forget.
-
@StarOdessey: I don't know what you mean about my "channel" being "blocked". I'm fairly recent to UT so other than my profile there is nothing on my UT page. I see you responded to my intial reply to you, I didn't get it, sorry. Actually both versions are basically the same, it's about love lost, except one wants to "forget" (French), the other wants the love to return (Italian). Again sorry did not mean to ignore you.
-
@drrockso1028: The song was originally done in Italian by the Italian Group "I Santo California". It's called "Tornero". It was mega hit for them in 1975. They're on UT. Sorry I just got here, fairly new to UT.

@IX19UT8O Hi there! How come your channel is not available. Did you block from public view? Would be nice, if you answered me

@IX19UT8O Yes, I feel the same, though both versions are unique. Who doesn't like and appreciates Mireille? She has been enchanting us all with her pure, etheral vocals and persona for the past 40 years. No wonder, that the sweetheart of France became the beloved of Europa!
-
@StarOdessey: I checked them out and you are correct, I still prefer Mireille.

Originally it was recorded and performed by an Italian instrumental and vocal group 'I Santo California', and it was known under a title "Tornero". You shoud check out the original. It was a hit in the '70s.
Is that song originally French or Spanish, because i have heard the song in both languages.
