Mikael Granlunds lacrosse goal 4 times, and everytime announced by different commentator. First from Canada, then from Russia, Germany and then by Finnish commentator Antero Mertaranta. At least I think they are from those countrys, not sure :D Anyways, enjooooy!

  • not USA commentators, actually TSN commentators from Canada

  • @ryakem Thanks for the info. I just made an assumption by the language commentators speak :D

  • finnish was best :D

  • @fafase From the moment he stands up: "OOOOOOO! Did you see what goal this guy scored? Did you see what goal this guy scored? He takes the puck onto his stick and the Russian players think "Oh my god, what just happened!". Granlund takes the puck, takes the puck onto the blade and scores one of the best-looking goals in the history of the World Championships! You can't deny that. Look at that, a 19-year-old youngster, there goes the puck, and Konstantin Barulin looks "Oh my god, what is coming!"

  • hahha vähä toi mertaranta riehuu! :DD

  • Etsipä tuubista hakusanalla "Mikael Granlunds zorro mål mot ryssland"

  • to be serious i like the german commentator, German such a nice language

  • @KVLFIN "Granlund takes the puck, takes the puck onto..." in Mertaranta's Ice hockey jargon: Puck = "Lätty" = pancake, flapjack.

Mertaranta: "Granlund takes the pancake,, takes the pancake onto the blade and scores(...)

(Half the fun is Mertaranta's own IceHockey jargon... Puolet hauskasta jää pois, jos ei käännä Mertarannan omaa slangia.) :D

  • are u kidding me migoll granlund:D

  • Finnish: OEOE, Russian: OIOI

  • @15V31F I believe that Armstrong got his inspiration from lacrosse.

But in Finland people don't play lacrosse much - we play floorball a lot.

There the ball can be scooped with the stick much like in this video.

Therefore a Finn would transfer this move over to hockey from floorball.

Or then he just saw some other guy do it in hockey - and practised it - to this level of- of..

    o... awe...

  • I could watch this forever!

  • @elfjens and floorball is based on street hockey you fucknut

  • @KVLFIN Thanks for that. I live in Finland and I've seen that one 10 times already and I think I will see it again. I like the "Oi yoiy yoi" of the russian one.
