Me playing the Widor Toccata on my electronic organ at home. It is an old analogue organ, and the make is Gem Prelude. Sorry about the few mistakes, there arent too many! I apologise for the poor sound quality, my digital camera doesn't record sound very well.

  • do not be so tense, its stoping you from getting out some ditatio in your left, and switch some reeds out man! its widor's 5th! lol ( =

  • Hi JacStoneDjak! Yes, watching it I do look rather tense! This was taken a long time ago now, I may put a new version up, with me playing on a better (real!) organ.

    Thanks again!

  • It's a tad too fast... Is there any particular reason why you're not using all the stops, especially for the end? "fff" means that you can hit the Tutti button! Thanks for posting, you are very talented at playing.

  • Hi there! Thanks for the kind responses. I always worry about taking it too fast! Regarding the stops - at the end I was using all the stops, except via a piston. However, because the organ is so old, even when I press the Tutti (Full Organ) button, the tabs don't go down to correspond with this. Hope this makes sense! Thanks Guys!

  • Rip the innards out of that old console and get it hooked up to Hauptwerk! You'll really enjoy the difference!!

  • Nice action in the left hand..... it is VERY accurate and precise

  • hey nice to playing, are you sure that your organ is of analogue type? I was looking at a gem prelude organ today in the edinburgh organ studios and Im more convinced that its actually an older version of the digital organs we see today, the analogue organs would be about 20 years old and older, is the gem about 10 years old or so?

  • Wonderfull and there aren't many mistakes you're way ahead of me hope to be there soon;)

  • I liked your version very much. Many organists play this piece as if they're sitting on a hot plate, which makes it sound 'chased' You went more for the flow, I think, which is a good thing.

  • How much did this organ cost? It's much better than mine. I might post a video of it soon. Very good playing.

  • Sounds great. Nice playing!

  • Play it a liitle Slower and try and get as full a sound as you can from the organ. Otherwise very good.
