Awesome little LED. I forgot to mention that the GS is immune to fading that many white LEDs do. After running at 30ma for 200 hours, many LEDs will lose brightness. The GS did not lose any brightness. It tends to run cooler due to its higher conversion efficiency and low forward voltage.

  • what site can i get them from

and what resistors should i use for a motorcycle battery a 560ohm or a 330ohm

  • GS LEDs are not available to the US market. I had to jump through hoops to get them and had to buy in bulk. The newly updated Cree 503 series are excellent and has a cleaner beam than the GS (no bluish center coloration).

Europe seller that ships to the US is the way to get Nichia GS LEDs.

  • @smokemist1 candela isnt a measure of brightness, but around 10 lumens.

  • whats the candle count??

  • nice vid thx for sharing

  • Nice vid. I see questions about this I can help.

LEDs have a fixed voltage. So the 3.4 volts with a resistor in series will leave the remaining 8.6 volts on the resistor if using a 12 volt DC source. The resistance of the resistor in ohms, gives you the resistors amperage using ohms law I=V/R. So 8.6 volts / 330 ohms = 20.6 milliAmps. This amperage at the resistor will also be across the diode. By increasing the resistor, you DECREASE amperage. Just make sure of the resistors Power capabilit

  • is possible use these leds under water?

  • I have a question what do you use the led for? Oo and what if I just buy 100 of them and weld to a cable and used them with my car batery? Thanks

  • Nichia offers color bins, you can actually choose cool white, neutral white and warm white. Looks like you got the C0 color bin, neutral white.
