Peace!

There's a war on the TV screen
in an old mill town that's got dirty dreams
by an underground river that fell into the sea
i fell into the sea
but i swear where i come from is not that bad
there's dreams to be lived for there's hope to be had

so whys are youth screamin of chains
there are no walls around this city
no ceiling for a sky
if you want to leave where the river falls
convinced it'll drown your dreams
you better move fast

a flower in the cracks
i grew in the narrows of the city
it's a long way down from the pedestal
cause it's easy to be wrong
it's harder to be right
struggling to find hope
with a map with no roads

VERSE
they put a shoppin mall
where faith and hope used to grow
between threads of cotton
our indians were forgotten
and lizzie is the only thing
they come to see

a flower in the cracks
i grew in the narrows of the city
it's a long way down from the pedestal
cause it's easy to be wrong
it's harder to be right
struggling to find hope
with a map with no roads
it's all history it starts today
it's all history it starts with you

  • I have to tell you...this brought tears to my eyes and chills all over....Thank You Andrea...you have grown to be an amazing and beautifuly talented woman!!! LOVE IT!!!!

  • Yea, Andrea knows what its like here in Spindle City. I was just reading the "Narrows" upcoming show list and found you here. I think I'll find you there as well. It will be nice to hear your voice in a place meant for spindles but now wired for sound. Who would have thought right here in Fall River we'd have a great place to hear beautiful music. If your sick of Lizzy too, check her out; can't wait!

  • This made me proud to be from Fall River. :)

  • sweet!
