I saw this movie, its anti-feminist! Madhubala has given excellent performance, but her character is not well developed,

All of the songs of this movie have this nostalgia thing with a tinge of sadness. I dont know how OPN and Guru Dutt managed to get this aspect .The same is also true of another movie Aar Paar again a Guru-OPN combo , but not to the same degree. Maybe has to do with something with Guru and OPN combo. It is as if these songs grow in value as time goes by like old wine . Thanks Kitaabik and Youtube.

The scene that culminates in the song , is itself beautiful and the music by OPN is so apt. Madhubala and Guru Dutt both are excellent. Rafi- Geeta sing perfectly. Everything comes together so well for this song. Above all, it is the supreme triumph of that jatka gaadi beat king OPN. Oh ! the racy tune is out of this world. To mention another point , lest I forget, there is a slight sliver of sadness mixed with nostalgia in this song, as if the song wants to sink its listeners into days past.

@mampu01 You are absolutely right. Guru Dutt was so simple and romantic in his appearance. We lack this kind of innocence in today's men. i wish i was born in Guru Dutt's life time.

Very fascinating glimpses of lovely Madhubala's versatility. Her irritated and chiding expression is so natural, so apt to the situation. And Guru Dutt comes with the called-for amorousness and naughtiness. One lively composer,two charming screen artists and two electrifying singers add up to joy supreme. Thanks, kitaabik.
