It was nice to see this video. In the early 1960s, I worked at WSTC. Our weather department was located at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center. We had the standard instruments, but certainly nothing as good as what's available today. Many times our weather came from KWO-35 the National Weather Service in NYC via the VHF radio.  Pretty primitive by today's standards.
