Unique Maximum Score on 15-1

In 1999 (I think?), Bill McKaig, a Presbyterian Minister from Scotland, recorded a maximum score of 433 points. He answered 40 out of 40 questions correctly. This was never beaten and is never likely to be, seeing as 15-1 vanished from our screens a few years ago. Don't ask me who the bloke with the pseudo 'Hugh Cornwell' haircut in the middle is though???? (more)

I always liked the fact that if it was a particularly good show William G Stewart would often remark that he " enjoyed that today" as if he had been slightly felated

Great thing about 15/1 was that there was no pissing around asking the contestants a load of questions about themselves, they just got straight into it!!

gibsosgerbil, Daphne Fowler did get all the questions in the last round right ( like Bill McCaig) but she went through with 2 lives, not 3 (so she was 1 off the maximum score).

@623058 It was the only time. The only person to get a score near it was Daphne Fowler, who's now a regular on the Eggheads.
