Hey, this is a great video, don't get me wrong, but ragtime is not suppose to be swung. I am not a self taught pianist and when my teacher gave me the piece to learn, the first thing he critiqued was the fact I was swinging it when ragtime is suppose to have a very even, march style tempo. That is where the genre originated from, from African American marching band music in the late 1800's. But still a great job.

oh sweet! u put like a jazz swing to it thats wicked good!

a little to fast and some phrases are missing syncapation or notes but really good job

I can see myself a few years ago playing the same tune. The way you play sounds so real and so fresh that mistakes become irrelevant. Congrats.

WTF!!!!!
OH MY GOD!! O___O

As atimus203 said, and I told you in a comment on one of your other renditions, your technique is not the problem, hon. It's your complete lack of emotion. Try to feel the music while you play and you will get better!

wow. I want to learn this soo badly but I am nervous to because I am afraid to fail...but fail and fail again and succed...it just look sooo intimidating....you made it seem so FLAWLESS!!! great job ; )

You got most of the notes down but you're WAY too stiff so it comes out in the sound.
Sir, you remind me of me. :) That's ragtime the way I like it!

I think this is a brilliant video. Played at the right tempo, the nice swing/jazzy feeling and by someone who is self taught. I don't see any music, did you learn this by ear?
Also, the mistakes are barely noticeable and make this piece unique. Don't worry about them, no-ones perfect.

I learnt it from sheet music, but after repeating a few bars, I know them by heart .. so I don't need the music any more.

imagine the people who are self taught and would kill for your stinking technique.... =\\
Hell, some classically trained people would kill for you stinking technique too... =\\
Just for laughs. That's really great work. ;)

hehehe thanks!
When I look around youtube for piano video's, I see levels that I will never reach.
But maybe the way to progress is to never by happy with yourself.. ;)
