Let me apologize for using the word punk. However, I do think it is bringing yourself down to his level when you reply back with more curse words, and even worse it's not in your best interest to curse back. what do you think?? If it were me, just walk away, there are many scrubs out there looking for trouble. I don't need some street thug following me home or something. What do you think?? do you still think we should respond to punks who go up and say "hey man fuck you"

@XOmniverse if your emotion tells you it's being mean, that is beyond me. I just wanted to say that if your response to a random bum on a street who comes up and rags on you is to get all offended and tell him off straight back, I think it's a provocative thing. You're basically bringing yourself to his level and so I call you a punk too. This is my line of thought. But, honestly, do you want to play push, push harder with any bum who wants to give someone a problem that day?

I have little to no experience meeting Objectivists out in public, so I can't say whether or not most people I meet who are Objectivists are assholes.
I would like to say that I enjoy most of your vids Xom, and I'm an Objectivist. Objectivists who cannot find value in other peoples viewpoints who are not 100% Objectivists are assholes if you ask me.
Like, just because I enjoy listening to Heavy Metal, and like Salvador Dali art, doesn't mean I'm an idiot because most Objectivists don't

Which reminds people of fundamentalist religious belief. A problem some Objectivists have is they are *way too meta*. Rand was a novelist and essayist, and her characters owned railroads and so on. Unfortunately a lot of people into Rand merely want to be professional Objectivists.
My question is, "OK, so you're an Objectivist: now what?" What will you do? Philosophy is a toolkit. No use sitting around and buffing it all day and not using it in pursuit of something.
