Guevara arrived in Mexico City in early September 1954, and shortly thereafter renewed his friendship with Ñico López and the other Cuban exiles whom he had known in Guatemala. In June 1955, López introduced him to Raúl Castro. Several weeks later, Fidel Castro arrived in Mexico City after having been amnestied from prison in Cuba, and on the evening of 8 July 1955, Raúl introduced Guevara to the older Castro brother. During a fervid overnight conversation, Guevara became convinced that Fidel was the inspirational revolutionary leader for whom he had been searching, and he immediately joined the "26th of July Movement" that intended to overthrow the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista. Although it was planned that he would be the group's medic, Guevara participated in the military training alongside the other members of the 26J Movement, and at the end of the course, was singled out by their instructor, Col. Alberto Bayo, as his most outstanding student.

  • i'm getting bored, all this i can find on wikipedia, why was he a monster?

  • @kissmissloveu Because when he achieved power he abused it, killing people so as to present an image of justice, rather than for reasons of justice. He was so brutal that Castro got him to work off shore. He targeted the poorest nations he could find and his theory of power kept his followers in those nations from allowing prosperity. He was photogenic, and so attracted Hollywood types, and so we know the face, not the man.

  • @ddball1 I'm sorry but this is just not true. I don't understand why people feel they can lie to people. Che in his lifetime never associated with "Hollywood types" this photogenic reprinting you're talking about happened after his death by people who never knew him so it has nothing to do with him and the only reason anyone ever says anything bad about El Che is because of La Cabaña which was a prision where people were excuted for things like rape, burning villages, and loyalty to Batista.

  • @desmondmyers No, people also remember how Che raped and pillaged through Africa and South America wherever people were foolish enough to welcome him. Everything I have read is documented. I understand he was your hero. Your hero was a despicable person.

  • Ruthless execution of informers deserters and spies? Sounds like the British Army in WWI.

  • @luckyswine I am sure that happened too.

  • You sound like a dumb surfer. You dont know shit.

  • hey bro you should have titled your film "The life of Che Guevara" but "monster" ? it sounds like you're describing a hero

PS. You are destroying his name. It is pronounced Ghe-va-ra... not gwe-varah. The GUE in GUEvara is like saying "get" without the "t".

  • you are a true idiot! It is not prounounced "Sierra "May stra" it is "Sierra "My es tra" or Sierra May es tra

  • @ddball1 thanx
