Washington Post Columnist and radio host Mike Wise has been suspended for a month. The journalist published a hokey statement on Twitter to point out how journalism is failing in credibility. Ultimately the stunt tarnished his own credibility.

Wise published the falsehood to his twitter account yesterday: "Roethlisberger will get five games, I'm told." He implied Ben Roethlisberger, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, would be suspended for five games versus the six.

After being reprimanded, he followed up with: "As part of a bit on my show today, I tried to test the accuracy of social media reporting. Probably not the best way to go about experiment."

Although, his point was made. The Miami Herald and ProFootballTalk picked up the report.
