We work for a living, pay taxes and we like our health care just the way it is.
THIS BILL WITH IT'S MANY THOUSANDS OF EXEMPTIONS (representing millions who won't be covered anyway) IS A PIECE OF CRAP.
The poor should have a basic option from medicaid to BUY on a sliding scale, a public option. Just forego a tattoo, or night at the bar once a month and you too can buy health insurance. Be accountable for your own health and well being, don't make me pay for your irresponsible behavior.

@WilliamHCarney FDR was a Democrat from New York. Creator of the New Deal in the 1930's, and the beggining of Sociailism (redistribution of wealth) in the United States.

The Patient’s Bill of Rights: * 1. Prevents insurance companies from canceling your policy if you get sick. Right now, insurance companies can retroactively cancel your policy when you become sick if you or your employer made an unintentional mistake on your paperwork.

Social medicine does work. When I was stationed over in England, I had a serious bout of food poisoning. I was rushed to the hospital and treated immediately FOC--free of charge.
If it weren't for England's National Healthcare Service, I would not be alived today.
If it had happened in America, I would be filling out insurance forms even before the doctor would have seen me.
Private Insurance is more bureacratic than a Government regulated plan. Trust me, I know.

More scare tactics. People kill me how they believe anything said. They use socialism as though it will be a take over like Nazi Germany. WRONG. Obama wants fairness for all when the Republicans had over 8 years to change it but, didn't. The reason is when Reform passes, the GOP will loose millions in campaign contributions from these healthcare greedy ASSHOLES. Now that they see how serious Obama is, now the GOP wants to play ball. Way to go,murphyj87! Agree with you 125% !!!! What a shame that news clip I read while in Europe last month (another humanitarian & healthy place to live in by the way!) about 44,000 Americans dying because of lack of health insurance. Let's face it: the American system sucks!!! A wealthy, industrialized, modern nation like the U.S. can't take care of its own. In Spain, both family and friends were asking me: what kind of a country do you live in???? Reply: A cold-hearted and greedy one!!
