This is Shotokan Karate at its best in semi contact competition form. Karate in its original form came from Okinawa & was designed to eneable unarmed farmers to kill armed malitia. Traditional Shotokan Kumiti (combat) competitions are semi contact because if Karateka went full contact it would result in death and thats not the point of competition. I fought under Kanazawa Sensi (SKI) in the 1980s and have the greatest respect for Karate. Those who criticise only show their ignorance & stupidity.

And as a little Tip for you, who got to have no knowledge about martial arts,

this Karate is Semikontakt, means you fight for points, maby get him on the ground and hit, to win but not to knock out.

So when you dont have any Knowledge about MArtial arts, exept your Ninja-Turtle movies and westling shit -----> shut the fuck up.

Knock out fights are for brainless bastards.

The Art of Karate is to stop the Punsh bevore hitting the Enemy in a sparing, but in real Battle its deadly, believe me. Karatekas have the strongest punch on earth, like all sportsintists would prove you ;)

I was a high grade Karateka & fought in the British Cahmpionships for Weymouth Karate Do Shotokan, I served with the Parachute Regiment (British Airborne Forces), I was a Nightclub Doorman at many clubs including the Hippodrome & The Ministry of Sound. I now work in Close Protection & PSD. My point is that Ive come up against may people hand to hand for real including 'cage fighters' in clubs, on the street & during my service. Karate applied for real is devatating and I owe my life to it!
