The other day, I was lucky enough to be at an event to bring the arts back into schools and got to see an amazing collaboration between Yo-Yo Ma and a young dancer in LA, Lil Buck. Someone who knows Yo-Yo Ma had seen Lil Buck on YouTube and put them together. The dancing is Lil Buck's own creation and unlike anything I've seen. I grew up on hip hop while also singing classical. To this day I make hip hop and still listen to classical. In fact I blend the two quite often. They're BEAUTIFUL together. Art is all about creativity and expression. You can't define art. You can simply look at the expression and have an opinion of it. These two gentleman have done something extraordinary. This was beautiful. I would LOVE to see whole shows of hip hop dancers dancing to music like Chopin or Beethoven. This was amazing!!!
