I don't doubt that Hubbard was a good friend since by admission of Hubbard's own son that L Ron thought of himself as the devil!

How rantingly insane and evil do you have to be to speak admiringly of known satanist Alistair Crowley?
For those who ignorantly dismiss CoS as no worse than other religions, consider that there are Bible studies and Koran readings/studies that encourage members to discuss the deeper meanings and evolution of the faith to apply to modern society.
In CoS... if you don't get it exactly like they tell you, you're failing, and need to spend more money.
Frightening. Evil.
