World's Best Armoured personnel carriers

What i think are world's leading APCs currently in service.

There are few interesting projects out there that would make this list far more interesting, they are only projects on paper or in prototype stage and therefore do not qualify for this list.

1. Boxer
600+ on order with German and Dutch Armies, potential for 1000+, at 7 million euros its most expensive APC/IFV ever.
German Army 408 Vehicles + (up to 720)
Dutch Army -- Inital order for 200 Vehicles + future orders (up to 320)

Patria AMV Modular Vehicle, 1570 vehicles on order or being delived to nearly a dozen nations, vehicle has modular design, Patria with basic 12.7mm turret comes around 1.6 million Euros, with 30mm/Spike ER Konsberg turret price tag goes to 2.7 million Euros per vehicle.

Croatian Army - 126 on order with potential for 126 more vehicles after 2012 (stated requirement for 252 vehicles)
Finland -- 86 Vehicles on order with potential for 200 more as replacement for old soviet designs still in service with the Finish Army.
Poland -- 895 on Order locally build under license vehicles are Designated KTO Rosomak or Wolverine.
Slovenia
Initial order of 135 AFVs, of which 12 will be equipped with NEMO mortars.
South Africa
264 units. Designated Badger
Sweden
Sweden made an order for 113 vehicles +113 more after 2015
United Arab Emirates
The United Arab Emirates Army ordered an initial evaluation batch of 15 vehicles

VBCI -- French main APC/IFV built as replacement for French Army's aging AMX-10P IFVs that are nearing end of useful service with the French Army. France has ordered 640 of these vehicles with potential for 640 more by 2015, Spain is another nation interested in these APCs, Spain has stated requirement for 860 modern APCs, VBCI price tag is substantial at 5.5 million euros per vehicle.

And yet you exclude all of the soviet/ russian perfectly crafted apc/ifv from some horrible expierence (Astan, chechenya).

@microfon, older finnish apc types are not soviet-made. most of them are finnish-made and popular patria PASI apc`s

@DeletoiD Finish Army has large quantity of old Soviet APCs, such as BTR50 & MT-LB, Finish Army has in excess of 450 of these, and plan is to replace some with Patria AMV.

APC - wheeled, less costly to support

IFV - tracked - expansive to run and support

APC primarily urban conflicts and good support/tactical vehicle very versatile,

IFV - limited to battlefield support and to powerful for urban conflicts. IFVs follow tanks, they are armed with 30-40mm canon and atgm, they are heavy and noisy, APC u can put any weapons station or make it very versatile, its all up to a client.

@MichaelViray46 yeah, modernized and improved armor protection, more powerful engine and US Army made it more modular for more missions, but in essence yes, you are right.

@micoforion BMP3's are arguably the best IFV in the world. They are air drop able, have true river fording capacity, mount more and larger main armerments; a 100mm main gun, 30mm autocannon, ATGW anti tank misle system, 40mm grenade launcher.... and three machine guns . Have the best armor package avalible to IFV's, including reactive up armor kits. have a low profile, hold an entire section, move like a bat out of hell, and have crazy good electronics package.

And for the record... how does a striker rate above a LAV3? they are the same chasis... but strikers use the shitty RWS weapon systems. They lack the ability to mount the game changing 25mm bushmaster autocannon that the LAV3 has. LAV's can roll on and off Hercs without any modifications, strikers have to either have the weapons system removed... LAV3s have a better uparmor package that does not fit to a Striker.

Most of those euro IFV's are garbage, they failed in combat duty in afghanistan

is the boxers protected by just steel, in that case it would suck or have they been wise enugh to tho mex it/ throws some cermaincs in it? in that case I supose it would be able to take 30mm to the front..
